Cash for damaged cars in Georgia
After an accident, storm, or flood, repairing a car often doesn't make financial sense. If you still hold the title and want to sell the damaged vehicle as it is, we'll review it for an offer. Describe the damage as clearly as you can so the quote reflects the real condition.
A vehicle title is required
We only buy vehicles that come with a valid title. If you can't locate your title, you'll need to get a replacement before we can make an agreement. We'll go over the title details with you when you request a quote.
Lost title? In Georgia, you can apply for a replacement title at your county tag office using Form MV-1 (Title/Tag Application). The Georgia Department of Revenue lists the requirements and fees. Georgia DOR: replace a lost or stolen title
Types of damage we review
Damage varies a lot, and so does its effect on a vehicle's value. We look at each car individually. Common situations include:
- Collision damage, from minor to severe
- Flood or water damage
- Hail damage
- Fire damage
- Mechanical failure after an accident
- Vandalism or theft recovery damage
If insurance is involved
If your insurer declared the car a total loss and paid you for it, the insurer usually takes ownership and the title. In that case, the car isn't yours to sell.
If you kept the vehicle after a total loss, the title may have been branded or reissued, for example as a salvage title. Tell us the title type when you request a quote so we can confirm whether we can buy the vehicle.
If a claim is still open, settle it before selling. Selling a vehicle during an open claim can complicate the claim.
Describing the damage
Be specific about what happened and what's affected. Mention whether airbags deployed, whether the car can be driven, and whether any parts are missing or were removed after the damage.
Clear, honest details help us give you a realistic quote. The final offer is confirmed once we've verified the vehicle and the title.
Pickup and towing
We do not offer free towing. If your vehicle needs to be picked up or towed, we'll explain any cost and confirm it with you before you agree to sell. Nothing is charged or deducted without your agreement.
Cash for damaged cars: questions
Can I sell a car with a salvage title?
Tell us the title type when you request a quote. Whether we can buy the vehicle depends on its title and condition, and we'll confirm that before any arrangement.
Should I repair the damage before selling?
Usually not. Repair costs on a heavily damaged car often exceed the value they add. We review the vehicle as it is.
Does flood damage disqualify a car?
Not automatically. Let us know how high the water reached and how long the car sat, and we'll confirm whether it's a vehicle we can buy.
Offer, payment, and eligibility
- How offers work
- The amount we can offer depends on the vehicle's year, make, model, condition, and other factors. A quote is an estimate until we confirm the vehicle and the title. We don't promise a specific amount before that.
- Payment
- We'll tell you how and when you'll be paid before you agree to anything, so there are no surprises at handoff.
- Vehicle eligibility
- Before we arrange anything, we'll confirm whether we can buy your vehicle. Tell us the year, make, model, condition, and ZIP code and we'll let you know.
- Where we buy
- We serve customers in the state of Georgia. Share your ZIP code when you request a quote and we'll confirm availability for your area.
