Grace to Grace Cash 4 Junk Cars

Sell a non-running car in Georgia

A car that won't start can still be sold. Engine failure, a blown head gasket, a dead transmission, or electrical problems don't automatically rule a vehicle out. Tell us what's wrong, confirm you have the title, and we'll review it for an offer.

A vehicle title is required

We only buy vehicles that come with a valid title. If you can't locate your title, you'll need to get a replacement before we can make an agreement. We'll go over the title details with you when you request a quote.

Lost title? In Georgia, you can apply for a replacement title at your county tag office using Form MV-1 (Title/Tag Application). The Georgia Department of Revenue lists the requirements and fees. Georgia DOR: replace a lost or stolen title

Common reasons cars stop running

You don't need a mechanic's diagnosis to request a quote. Describe what the car does, or doesn't do, and we'll take it from there.

  • Won't crank or won't start
  • Engine knocks, seizes, or overheats
  • Transmission slips or won't shift into gear
  • Electrical problems or warning lights
  • Sat so long it no longer runs

Moving a car that doesn't run

A non-running vehicle usually needs to be towed or loaded. We don't offer free towing, so any pickup cost is explained and confirmed with you before you agree to sell.

It helps to know whether the wheels roll freely, whether the steering unlocks, and whether the keys are available. These affect how the car can be moved.

Should you fix it first?

Sometimes a repair is worth it, especially on a newer vehicle with a single, known problem. Often, though, the repair costs as much as the car is worth, or more.

If you're unsure, get a repair estimate and request a quote from us. Comparing the two gives you a clear picture before you decide.

Pickup and towing

We do not offer free towing. If your vehicle needs to be picked up or towed, we'll explain any cost and confirm it with you before you agree to sell. Nothing is charged or deducted without your agreement.

Cash for non-running cars: questions

Do I need to know exactly what's wrong with the car?

No. Describe the symptoms, such as won't crank, won't shift, or overheats, and anything a mechanic has told you. That's enough for us to review it.

What if I don't have the keys?

Tell us when you request a quote. Missing keys can affect how the vehicle is moved, and we'll explain what that means for your situation.

Will a non-running car get a lower offer?

Condition is one of the factors in every offer, along with year, make, model, and other details. We review each vehicle individually.

Offer, payment, and eligibility

How offers work
The amount we can offer depends on the vehicle's year, make, model, condition, and other factors. A quote is an estimate until we confirm the vehicle and the title. We don't promise a specific amount before that.
Payment
We'll tell you how and when you'll be paid before you agree to anything, so there are no surprises at handoff.
Vehicle eligibility
Before we arrange anything, we'll confirm whether we can buy your vehicle. Tell us the year, make, model, condition, and ZIP code and we'll let you know.
Where we buy
We serve customers in the state of Georgia. Share your ZIP code when you request a quote and we'll confirm availability for your area.
